Insurance Investigator with Focus on Support for Return

Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency makes 24 million decisions that affect people's lives and society as a whole. We disburse approximately 250 billion kronor each year. It is everyone's tax money that we manage. It is a great responsibility. Therefore, we take the time to understand each case, follow laws and regulations, inform and guide, care, and show compassion. This is a job for you who want to take responsibility. Welcome to the Swedish Social Insurance Agency.

Solution-focused, Coaching, and Collaboration

In the role of insurance investigator with a focus on support for return, you will meet individuals who often have a complex life situation with an ongoing sick leave. The individual may be relatively far from returning to work or other employment and therefore needs support from the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and other actors to get back to work. You will be proactive in coordinating the rehabilitation needs that have been identified and matching these needs with the right interventions. In your work, you will involve the individual in the process. You will have contact and plan with external partners such as the individual's employer, healthcare, or the Public Employment Service. You primarily work with digital meetings that you lead, but physical meetings may also occur as needed.

As an insurance investigator, you will handle applications for sickness benefits. You will independently make decisions about the right to sickness benefits by correctly applying the legislation, which also means that you need to consider changed circumstances in the sick cases. You are also responsible for ongoing documentation and payment of compensation.

The role of insurance investigator is coaching, and your contacts are characterized by attentiveness, respect, and a desire to create security and understanding of the sickness insurance system for the individual and partners. You collaborate with your colleagues both on-site and digitally. You actively work to develop your knowledge and share experiences and competencies.

As a new employee, you will receive an introductory training and support from a mentor. The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you who will work with us have a high level of security awareness.
